Architectural Photography requires a partnership of mutual understanding between the architect and the photographer.
Your objectives need to be determined in planning the shoot and use of the imagery. Factors such as the time of year, require balancing of the projects timing with the angle of the sun on a building and the amount of natural light to capture the best perspective.
Consider the seasonal effects, will there be leaves on the trees, the building in shade, a spring flowering in the garden? Is there the need to capture the building from varying perspectives during the day and night? Has all the construction been completed? Will the space be occupied? Is the building well maintained eg. lawns green, grounds maintained, windows clean. Consideration of all these factors prior to booking and before the photographer arrives will enhance the final results.
