Photography fees are generally applied to the job in three areas:

PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY SHOOT FEE - ON LOCATION

We provide clients with an hourly rate and these rates are largely dependant on the nature of the shoot requirements. We have perfected our ability over 17yrs to shoot with care and speed and can provide our clients with an efficient service working by the hour. We also provide a half-day and full-day rate.

Extras: travel time & costs (for jobs over a 20km radius from postcode 3193), overtime, equipment hire, assistants and second photographers, other contracted specialists eg. make-up artists, hairdressers and videographers may attract additional fees.

POST-PRODUCTION

Hourly: $50-$65/hr

Post production is an essential part of digital photography and is required to deliver professional images. Post production includes standard image improvements and conversion and covers the basics of image management. All of the following items including colour balance, contrast, hue, saturation and tonal adjustments, standard colour cast removal and sharpening are applied to the full image. Images are then duplicated and may be converted from RAW to JPEG or TIFF files. Hourly rate is dependant on the nature of the shoot and corrections required.

To estimate post-production requirements allow up to 1hr of post-production for every hour of shooting.

IMAGE LICENCE

A reproduction licence is provided for images produced from the shoot and licenced to the client for a defined period, usage and purpose as oulined in the photographers brief. Licenses of images are quoted dependant on commerical, corporate, educational, not-for-profit, internal or media use.

Corporate use includes any reproduction for general corporate purposes such as websites, brochures, posters and advertising. Commercial usage includes where images are used in high volume such as on products manufactured for profit. Commercial reproduction licence fees are assessed on an individual basis.

Licences generally do not attract a fee where the images are used for agreed media purposes, internal organisational usage eg. internal newsletter, documentation or for personal use.

Where a use is not defined in the original job specifications further reproduction licensing is available.
