The easiest way is to email us using our inquiry form - with details about the job including a short description of what you are looking to do, location, time and date and we will contact you regarding your inquiry.

#top How far in advance should we book?

Typically one-two months in advance is plenty of time for smaller corporate jobs and up to six months for larger jobs or jobs with a scheduled date, especially during peak times. For personal events such as weddings we recommend booking between six-twelve months in advance. A deposit may be required to reserve a date.

#top Who will own copyright?

When considering hiring a photographer it is important to understand your rights with regard to copyright, commissioning and licencing images and how these rights may affect the usage of the images you receive in relation to your objectives. In general terms when you contract a photographer copyright is automatically assigned to the photographer the moment an image is captured.

Unless otherwise stated, the photographer is the sole creator of the photographs. When you hire a photographer you are paying for the cost to shoot and produce the photos and the right to use the photographs for your own defined purposes as outlined in the original booking.

It depends on what you are looking to achieve. The time jobs take are different for different clients and will depend largely on the brief provided to the photographer when making a booking.

Most jobs will be no less than one hour of shooting. This takes in account one hour for the shoot and one hour in post-production.

#top How far will you travel?

We like to work locally, but understand that through travel we offer people the expertise that produces great quality images and a philiosophy of sustainable image making that may fit with your philossophies and action of sustainable consumption.

You understand that additional travel adds extra cost and that we must minimise the impact of our travel by considering the need to offset the carbon produced.

Travel within 30 kilometres of postcode 3193 (Beaumaris, Melbourne) is included in your job estimate. For other locations beyond our immediate area we are happy to provide you with an estimate which may be based on travel time and transport costs.

Depending on your brief we can either re-locate to an indoor location or if it is too inconvenient, then we can reschedule to another date.

It is worth having a contingency plan in place for all shoots for circumstances occuring which may delay or postpone the shoot including location, an alternative shoot date and potentially room to adjust for any delay within your timelines.

We go into our studio and apply post-production applications to the images. Post production will largely depend on the photographers brief. However, there are a number of standard requirements in producing an image that is ready to view. You should allow a minimum of one hour of post-production for every hour of shooting.

#top How long does it take for previews to be available?

Within our client area we offer the ability for clients to preview images within a secure client area. Clients are provided with a login and password where they elect to have their own secure area.

Proof images within the gallery are available for pubic viewing or for everyone you have provided the password to and they are available to purchase through the gallery.

Generally the standard for previews to be available online is a minimum of two weeks from completion of shoot and longer for larger jobs. For larger jobs it may not be efficient to load images online and clients will receive a DVD of their proof images.

#top Can I provide access to other people to purchase images directly of the website?

Yes, everyone you provide access to your client area can purchase as many images as you like from the website dependant on your licence agreement. The purchase of low and high resolution images can be made online and these will either be emailed, sent on CD or mailed as prints depending on your choice.

#top How long will the images be online?

The images from your shoot will online for four weeks from the date they are uploaded. Clients can request additional online proofing time where required.

#top What happens after I have selected my images?

Once you have selected your images you have the option of having them produced at a higher level more appropriate for corporate applications. This is called retouching.

Retouching should be considered essential part of corporate photography and should be considered in your business budget when hiring a photographer.

#top How much will it cost?

Upon your enquiry we can provide the client with an initial job estimate. If the client requires a quote we will require a completed photographers brief and can then provide a quote based on the information within the brief.

Prices are dependant on varying factors including shoot times, travel times and costs, complexity, set-up requirements, equipment required, assistants required, on-site proofing, post-production, licencing and delivery requirements including web gallery acces. Prices also depend on whether the usage is for corporate, commercial, educational or not-for-profit organisations.

The schedule of costs is related to three main areas dependant on your brief:

  • shoot fee - this fee covers the costs of the photo shoot on location
  • post-production - covering the costs of managing the image in the studio to a standard required in relation to the photographers brief.
  • reproduction licence - covering the costs of preparing and providing a licence for usage based on the photographers brief.
#top Do you have experience working with children?
